Sahara India felicitated Indian hockey team for their brilliant performance in FIH Olympic qualifiers

Recently the company felicitated Indian hockey team with a cash incentive of Rs. 1.12 Crore for their brilliant performance in FIH Olympic qualifiers. By qualifying the FIH Olympics, the team has taken entrance in the London Olympics 2012 after having missed the Beijing games four year. The incentive of Rs. 1.12 Crore provided by Sahara India Pariwar will be distributed amongst the players and support staff of India Hockey Team. Sahara India Pariwar awarded Rs. 11 lakhs each to Shri Sardar Singh and Shri Sandeep Singh for their outstanding performance in the match. The rest of the ream is awarded with Rs. 5 lakhs each for their performance. The support staff is awarded with Rs. 1 lakh each. The Sahara India Pariwar has recently renewed its sponsorship deal with Indian hockey team for a period of next five year at a 170 per cent increase over the past contract span of time. Subrata Roy Sahara, Managing worker and Chairman of Sahara India Pariwar announced that he feels proud that Indian hockey team performed so well in the tournament. In fact he feels extremely happy to be associated with the national game of India. He consider this incentive as a small token of appreciation to encourage the Indian hockey team and the staff supporters to do well in the future games and bring greater glory to the nation through the national sport. The Sahara India Pariwar is not only a sponsor to the Indian Hockey team, but also has played host to the India hockey team for their coaching camp for the Champion's trophy in 2003. The things that were taken care of during that camp were lodging, boarding, practice camps and traveling of the entire team. According to Subrata Roy Sahara Indian hockey team have great potential so it needs to be promoted and he feels pleasure to promote the national sport of India. Besides hockey, the company is promoting various other Indian sports such as Archery, wrestling, boxing, cricket, shooting and Hockey.
