Do you believe you are a confident and effective sales person? Even the top performers in the field tend to have a limiting belief or two that trip them up from time to time. Chances are if you are reading this article, you want to improve your sales performance. There is a wide range of common beliefs that hold people back from achieving success. The good news is that conditioning your mind can create profound changes in your results. Best of all, it can happen quickly and effectively with the help of a hypnotherapist.
It is common for people in sales to be moderately aware of the importance of a positive attitude. But how effective is it to fake one? In some cases it works. In most it does not. To think that you can deceive your customer or client is insulting to the complexity of our humanness. Psychology teaches us that human beings are able to perceive true emotion from body language and facial expressions. Metaphysics teaches us that we project out energy and that energy is reflected back to us. So if you are tackling each day with frustration, fear, or insecurity you are probably not achieving the level of success that you desire.
Moving from under-achiever to over-achiever requires shifting from negativity to a genuine positivity. The first step is usually to acknowledge the feelings you have. Are you feeling fear of rejection, lack of confidence in your knowledge, doubt in your abilities? What is the belief unde
eath that feeling? More often than not, there is a pattern of this insecurity throughout your life. It is not uncommon for my hypnotherapy clients to express a fear of not being good enough. Let’s be honest, if you do not believe you can succeed, you probably will not.
How does hypnosis help? Hypnosis works at the level of the mind which stores all of your beliefs and associations. When you try to force yourself to change, you meet with resistance because you have not replaced your disempowering belief. Hypnosis is a process of heightened learning which allows the therapist to make positive suggestions directly to the part of your mind that serves as your life script.
For some people, simply becoming aware of the root cause of the obstacle is enough to overcome it. Unfortunately, that is not the case for most people. By working with the mind instead of fighting it, old beliefs and patterns can be replaced by new and empowering beliefs.
Working on your self-confidence and self-worth does require a commitment. Yes, hypnotherapy can speed up the process. However, just as you would not expect to be fit for life after one session with a personal trainer. Nor should you expect all of your limiting beliefs to be overcome with one hypnosis session. If you treat your personal development like an athlete treats their body, you can achieve your peak performance in sales as well as other areas of your life.
