Saving money on Pay Per Click advertising
Pay per click is often abbreviated to simply PPC. PPC campaigns have become more and more important in establishing a good internet presence for any business that takes their marketing seriously. The biggest PPC platform is Google Adwords.
Pay per click advertising can become costly very quickly but many people wrongly assume that the cost is simply based on competitors bids and there are no savings to be made. This is entirely wrong though. Google Adwords actually works in a similar way to the Google search engine. It delivers better results based on a complicated algorithm to the sites that it thinks most suits the users search. This can mean that if you follow certain rules you can actually save substantial money.
With Pay Per Click advertising, you effectively bid an amount on a keyword. You will be charged this fee every time that someone clicks on your advert. This is what makes PPC so appealing as you do not pay to advertise until somebody actually clicks though to your site. However, many people do not realise that you can actually get a lower cost per click (CPC) by using a few techniques. It is entirely possible that you actually pay a lower cost per click than your competitors yet still feature above them.
It can be complicated to manage a PPC campaign and know all the tricks to use in order to achieve these savings. It can require constant optimisation and tweaking and therefore the easiest way to save money is to use a PPC management company.
When looking for a PPC management company you should be looking for a few key things. Firstly, you will want to know that they fully comply with Googles terms and conditions. If they dont then this could harm your website or even get your Google Adwords account banned which could lead to big problems.
Secondly, you will want to make sure that they are qualified. Check to see that they employ an official Adwords qualified individual or are Adwords certified. This will prove that they have the experience and knowledge to manage your campaign effectively and therefore help to save you money in the long run.
Finally, check their track record. You will want to know that the price that you pay the company is outweighed by the savings that you make with your PPC campaign. As long as you save more on clicks than you actually pay the PPC management company then it is a no-brainer!
