Today we sit down with Dr. Irina Kellerman-Volk from 3V Dental Associates, a local dentist in Port Washington, Long Island, New York. What can you tell us about 3V Dental Associates and how it all began? Dr. Volk and I went to NYU Dental School together. When we graduated, we worked at his father’s office, who's also a dentist, for 3 years until we opened up 3V Dental on our own. 3V Dental is a family, cosmetic and general dentistry practice. We love making people feel good when they leave our office...and they always do! What made you want to become a dentist? I always wanted to help people be healthy and beautiful at the same time How long have you been practicing? I have been practicing since 1997 (21 years) What would you consider is your specialty procedure? Full mouth restoration is our specialty! We can give you the smile and appearance you've always wanted in just a few visits. The results are spectacular! I also love to do Invisalign clear braces. We can get your teeth where they are meant to be without having to worry about any metal and they are virtually invisible. Which areas of dentistry do you love the most? Cosmetic dentistry, definitely! What is the biggest challenge for you and your dental team today? The idea that all doctors just want your money! I accept the challenge of changing people's minds once they come here though. We notice that you have a very tight-knit team here at 3V Dental. Can you describe the office and work culture? We are a very tight knit family here at 3V Dental. Everyone is treated like family - patients and staff members alike! Our goal is to make everyone feel like they are truly cared about. What is special about your dental office compared to others in Port Washington or Long Island? I can't really say what other offices are like but I know we care about ALL of our patients and they feel that when they come in. Everyone is happy when they leave.
