This article was originally posted at https://www.apple-a-day-clinic.com/Health_and_Nutrition_Blog?m8:post=saying-goodbye-to-pests-naturally-special-reportI tend to be a real life Snow White in lots of animals want to live in my home. Over the past few years I have spent tons of money barricading my house to prevent entry of opossums, raccoons, squirrels etc. As the summer months come to a close, rodents and insects like mice and spiders begin looking for a place to keep warm. If your house is warm and there is an entry that these little critters can use to get inside, then your home may be a target. While you could spend lots of money on chemicals to kill off these intruders, there is also a simpler, kinder, and healthier ways to keep them out. Surprisingly, all you need is tea bags and a few other ingredients to keep your home free of critters.

You may be wondering how exactly you can fend off spiders and rats with only tea bags.

Step 1: Obtain Peppermint Tea Bags

To use this method, you will begin by obtaining peppermint tea bags and using them to make tea. The reason that peppermint is used rather than any other ingredient is that peppermint in very unpleasant to pests. The scent of peppermint is so repulsive to them that they will likely stay as far away from it as they can. If you have peppermint tea bags sitting in the spots that these pests formally used to enter your home, they will no longer enter your home.

Step 2: Place Tea Bags Where Critters Enter

Throwing peppermint tea bags in random spots is not going to be effective at keeping critters out of your home. This step is very important, and you must put some thought into it if you want this method to work. As you are looking for locations, you need to account for each and every entryway that you can. Pests are great at burrowing their way through tiny holes, so make sure that you have a plethora of bags available to use. Corners of the wall are a common entryway for pests, so make sure you have a bag at each. You will need to repeat this process every week or two. Conversely, you can make a spray of essential oil using 8 ounces of vinegar, and 45 drops of peppermint oil. (FREE SHIPPING) Spray all areas liberally. You will need to do this on at least a weekly basis. Another option is to use an ultrasonic pest repellant like Pest Reject which uses low frequency sound waves to drive away a variety of insects and rodents from your home. I cannot emphasize enough that you must identify and remove entry areas for any of these methods to work properly.
