SBI Clerk Selection Process 2018

In SBI Clerk Selection Procedure, the examination will consist of three phases: (A)SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination (Online) ---------------------------------------- 100 marks (Objective type) – 1 hour duration Candidates applying for various posts in SBI clerk have to appear for prelims examination. It consists of 100 multiple choice questions from the sections of English language, Reasoning Ability and Numerical ability. Candidates need to solve the paper in 60 minutes only. There will be a sectional cut-off in these three section. (B) SBI Clerk Mains Examination (Online) ------------------------------------ 200 marks (Objective type) – 2 Hours 40 Minutes duration The questions will be frames from the below sections in the mains exam: • General/financial awareness : the number of questions is 50 and the time duration is 35 minutes and marks will be 50. • English language : the number of questions is 50 and the time duration will be 35 minutes and marks will be 40. • Quantitative aptitude: the number of questions will be 50 and the time duration will be 45 minutes and marks will be 50. • Reasoning ability and Computer aptitude : the number of questions is 50 and the time duration is 45 minutes and marks will be 60.rnThe questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.rnBy securing passing marks, candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests, to be decided by the Bank. • Candidates have to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate. • 5% relaxation will be available for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates. • Minimum percentage marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank. (C) SBI Clerk Test of knowledge of local languagern --------------------------------------------- rnCandidates must have studied official or local language in their 10th standard as a language subject. They will not be subjected to any language test. In the case of others, language test will be conducted before the final selection. Candidates who are not found to be proficient in language test will be disqualified. (D) SBI Clerk Final Selectionrn -------------------------- rnThe marks obtained in the SBI Clerk 2018 Preliminary Examination will not be added to the final selection. Only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in Interview (Phase-III) (if interview is held) for preparation of the final merit list.Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test (main examination).
