Science Exhibition in School

Modern science has made the history of 200 years. It is also describe as a systematized knowledge of nature and human being. Like everything in this world science also has two side of the coin, in one side it is a blessing and in the other side it is a curse. Science involves a pursuit of knowledge causing general truths as the operations of fundamental laws. Science and technology provide us comfortable life and people in many countries began to recycle many things instead of throwing away. Moreover, scientist is finding new ways to acquire energy from the wind, waves and the sea. People are using great amount of earth’s natural resources such as materials from oil and gas.

These resources are limited and very soon we will face the scarcity so it shows that science ahs important role in our daily life so we should have positive interest towards science. February 28 is observed as the National Science Day in India and it’s a good chance for different agencies to promote science education and its communication in the country. In 1928, Sir C.V. Raman discovered the Raman effect and he was also honored with noble prize for physics in 1930. The Raman effect gave rise to new discipline, Raman Spectroscopy which has now become a great tool for scientific investigations and industrial applications. Sir C.V. Raman had a genius mind and he finished his schooling at the age of 11. When he was 17, he completed his master’s in physics.

He joined the Indian Audit and Accounts Service and got the posting at Kolkata. After Independence, the Government of India appointed him the first National Professor. India remembers the contribution of Raman when it celebrates the science day. Science and technology have become the most important drivers of the economy of a nation. Technology has changed the business models of companies across the world.

The idea of science exhibition has come from European education pattern and the culture. It is completely based on innovation by collecting knowledge and intelligence of the learners. So keeping this in mind the science exhibition has been introduced in every educational institute which is only based on practical knowledge. There is no ways of gaining practical knowledge in the field of science and technology. Therefore the science exhibition is needed to create awareness among the students. Hence, the steps for science fair in the educational institute are ideally respected and contemporary.

In every educational institute science exhibition is held every year. It is just to motivate the students for research work and create enthusiasm. In this the job of the teacher is to collect all the names of the students who will make a project based on science and technology. It’s a great platform for the students to show their creative work, the students select the project and give a quality time over the work and the nature of the technology behind it. Students get the opportunity for one day only to work like a scientist and show their presentation.
