There can be no doubt that search engines are the most profitable way to drive traffic to your website. Literally millions of searches are performed by individuals seeking information or goods or services, even every day. However, competition is fierce as there are over 100 million websites in existence. And you can be sure that many of these will compete directly with you in the search engines.

This article presents two approaches to search engine marketing "pay per click" or (PPC) and "organic" and a list of some of the benefits and tips for each approach.

PAY-PER-CLICK SEARCH engine traffic

Pay-per-Click, or sponsored advertising was introduced by Google in the 90's through its Google Adwords service. All other major search engines such as Yahoo! and Microsoft's MSN already have similar products. For a list of these services offer an amount you are willing to pay if someone clicks on that keyword. For example, you might be willing to pay a dollar every time someone clicks on your ad displayed when someone does a search, for example, "dog training". Generally, your ad will appear at the right of the listings of search engines.

PPC is a great way to get targeted traffic quickly and easily to your website. However, you are competing against many advertisers - some with big budgets - so you could end up in a bidding war, and to get to the point where it is simply too expensive for you to bid on all words required keys.

If you're serious about PPC, it's worth getting an expert's knowledge. Perry Marshall is considered the expert in Google Adwords. Search Google his name and get all the information about their programs that are required.

Organic search engine traffic

This process is based on their websites with high rankings in search engines. For example, if Google thinks your site on, for example, dog training is important, informative and original, but will return to your site when a user is looking for the "dog training" your keyword. In general, traffic in organic search engine traffic receives 9 times compared to PPC campaigns. It is also worth noting that the search engine traffic is of higher quality tha
PPC traffic.

The key to getting a good search engine ranking is to ensure that your website is optimized for a particular keyword. This introduces a new discipline: 'Search Engine Optimization "or SEO. Search Engine Optimization is a complex and specialized area. If you are serious about improving the positioning of your website worth getting expert advice.
