If your life span is 80 years from birth to death, you have approximately 2,522,880,000 seconds to live. Since you started reading this paragraph, you have used up about 20 of them. If you go back and check how long it took you to read the paragraph you will use up another 20. Tonight, you will spend 86,400 of your precious seconds asleep. In fact, assuming you sleep 8 hours a night, you will be unconscious for 1/3 of your life. The clock is ticking. When you reach the end of your time death is waiting for you. That is a certainty. Which do you fear most, living or dying?

Tick, tick, tick….

Two years ago, one of my great friends Martin was taken suddenly from this life – a young man with his whole life in front of him – it was hard to believe this could happen. As the months passed and the pain reduced over time, you appreciated the true impermanence of our existence – without doubt the only relevant mantra was “here today, gone today…live life now.”

As a motivational speaker that has travelled the world over the past two decades, not surprisingly based on life experience, my most important advice has never changed…..Take action now!

In addition to the joy of truly engaging in the jou
ey of life, for many taking that first step results in a feeling of casting a huge weight off their shoulders. This new “weighlessness” will convert into a more positive presence in all relationships inside and outside corporate corridors.
