News flash!
You’re going to die someday!
Not just you; all of us!
We’re all going to die!
And guess what?
We can’t take ANYTHING from this physical, Earthly charade with us!
Nothing!
You can’t take your car, you can’t take your house, you can’t take you PS4 or your Xbox360.
The TV has to stay, too.
I know, I know; it sucks! You spent so much time working and saving and buying and playing with those things! It’s such a shame they have to go to waste like that when your time is up.
A better question might be to ask – why are you spending your precious, finite time chasing and acquiring material possessions when you can’t take any of it with you?
Why prioritize material security over personal growth, evolution, and serious fulfillment via going after your real goals in life?
If you’re going to die and not be able to take anything with you anyway, wouldn’t that be as good a reason as any to begin shifting priorities?
What if you could satisfy both sides of this equation, and do exactly what you want with your life while simultaneously having enough money and security for food, clothes, shelter, and toys?
What if the only true obstacle wasn’t a harsh world full of unfair rules and random circumstances – but rather fear itself?
Social Conditioning is Not Your Friend – Your Subconscious Mind Is!
The first path is the socially conditioned path. This is the path you will default to if you allow fear to control your thinking (as most do):
Acquire material security FIRST, and THEN you can focus on your goals.
Very few people I’ve ever met actually have success with this model. If they do, it’s because they were already in school, and working toward a job where they are an employee, so of course there’s going to be an already established company waiting in the wings.
But what if you want to start a company, business, freelance, or go independent to make your dreams come true?
When this happens, you’re going to come to a natural crossroads, whereby you feel you have to choose between having food to eat or living your passion.
Let me be the first to say that this is one of the most insidious socially programmed beliefs – and it’s 100% pure bullshit!
Do you know why this appears to be true?
Because people believe it, and then they fulfill their own prophecy as such.
If you truly believe something, your behavior will subconsciously reinforce that scenario. More accurately, your subconscious mind will cause your behavior to become biased in a certain way.
Your subconscious mind is perhaps the single-greatest tool to your enlightenment and freedom.
I highly suggest checking out The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy if you haven’t already. It’s one of the five books that changed my life, and influenced me to embrace my true voice.
Your subconscious mind is the greatest supercomputer in existence. It can be programmed and re-programmed an infinite number of times. That’s why limiting-belief dissolution and replacement, as well as neuroplasticity, are such powerful tools – they reverse this process, and they WORK!
The unfortunate things is we’re barely taught this in traditional schooling.
The truly unfortunate thing is that schooling actively programs your subconscious mind with such limiting beliefs in the first place.
If more people knew of how powerful their subconscious mind truly is, we’d have many more happy people on this planet!
However, you can still observe the validity of the truth that belief dictates experience by observing other people who have already achieved “unlikely” or “improbable” success.
Have you ever paid attention to the pattern that’s most common with successful entrepreneurs? Most of them never finish school (if they didn’t already drop out), have a horrible track record with traditional jobs, make quick decision, and typically strike success on more than one front. These people end up making a lot more than they would with a regular career, and then people call them “lucky”.
Luck has absolutely nothing to do with it.
When you’re conscious, you can create your own luck.
This is achieved by changing your beliefs themselves, not by catering to an already established limiting-belief that “your time will come if you’re just patient and work a little harder!”.
This is analogous to pouring the foundation of a house, then complaining there’s not enough room in the house once it’s completed.
Your foundation sets the limits by which the rest of the house can be built.
Your foundation determines the destiny of the finished house.
Likewise, your beliefs are the foundations of your experience.
They determine your destiny and potential.
If you become more conscious of how this process works, you can change your beliefs, and thus increase the size of your foundation, and thus potential.
Half the issue most have is that they’re trying to introduce new empowering beliefs while still within the framework of their old disempowering ones. I’d argue that this is the greatest cause for aggravation and misinterpretation of individual potential.
The belief that you have to secure X, Y, and Z before you can allow yourself to go after your dreams is a very big beginners trap. It appears to be Mt. Everest to those just starting to live consciously – but when you finally get over said hump, you realize it’s nothing in the grand scheme of things.
When it finally sinks in, the rest of society is going to suddenly start appearing much more timid and limiting than you may have remembered it being.
You also start noticing selective reasoning (aka bullshit) popping up with greater and greater frequency.
Most often in the lies people tell themselves. You’ll start picking up on incongruencies among friends and family. Once YOU start living courageously, those who don’t, yet pretend they are happy (and clearly aren’t), become more obvious than ever.
Stop Defending Dust
Everything you sacrifice your dignity and happiness for can’t be taken with you.
It will all be dust.
Everything.
Everything around you will one day be nothing more than dust, floating through the vacuum of space just like it was before it converged and formed our sun, planets, and us.
To spend your finite time chasing things that are time-sensitive and physicality-dependent is the biggest tragedy of them all.
This is like owning a Lamborghini, and using it only to drive to the mailbox and back every couple of days. There’s so much more potential under the hood, but you’ll never know it if you’re too fearful to take it out on the road and really push it to its limits.
The entire purpose of you being an individualized human being is so you can act, behave, and live differently than everyone else.
If you weren’t meant for individuality, you wouldn’t be a human being right now.
You have a massive chance to sway the tides on this planet through your everyday actions and behaviors…
…Or you can squander it away and live a massively unfulfilling life, feel depressed and apathetic, then call it “normal” because everyone else is doing the same.
Nothing is ever going to make you as happy and fulfilled as occupying the sate of being which represents your highest end-result goals.
Collecting things isn’t going to fill that gap.
Earning a higher salary isn’t, either.
The only thing that’s going allow you to access the levels of fulfillment everyone foolishly believes working themselves to the bone creates, is by trusting yourself and consciously steering your life bit by bit toward living your passion.
When you cultivate the courage to follow your passions at all costs, the universe steps up and supports you.
The universe prioritizes synchronicity to those who are living courageously and consciously.
Those who aren’t doing so don’t require synchronicity, because they behave like know it alls, and don’t pay attention to serendipitous assistance due to their density of thinking.
The universe is throwing such people a bone all the time, saying “Hey, wake up! It’s easier than you’re making it out to be! Check this out!”; but said person will allow their beliefs to block the reception of synchronicity, and the complacency continues.
Conclusion: The Irony is Astounding, Batman!
Like I said in past writings, the universe operates on irony.
The irony here is that you get nothing by working against your higher goals and aspirations, tending to man’s arbitrary expectations of security and social economic growth. Common sense tells us that the harder you labor or work, the more you should reap.
The universe is bigger than that system. Like, infinitely bigger. To the universe, this is the equivalent of pre-schooler logic.
You will be synchronistically rewarded for refusing to put up with unnecessary bullshit.
The only condition is that you don’t just remove such unnecessary bullshit from your life – but that you actively begin moving in a more congruent direction as well. Don’t just burn bridges and then do nothing (another beginner’s trap); be excited and ready that you’ve freed up more time to study, learn, and temper your unique skill set.
This is the very thing that will transform the gloom and despair into glorious light and abundance. This is the very thing that must be done in order to reclaim your autonomy, as well as your birthright to pursue your happiness and fulfillment first and foremost.
To quote the late, great Benjamin Franklin: “Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.”
I’ll even follow it up with my own unique spin: Those who cultivate the courage to live consciously and transcend the illusion of security, will be rewarded with both liberty AND security.
Trust yourself, do your best, and the universe will make sure the rest is taken care of.
