See a Formula One Race Live
The start of a Grand Prix is one of the most exciting moments of any sporting event as vastly skilled drivers embark on a desperate struggle to gain the advantage and be first into that all important first corner! There are currently 12 teams spending tens of millions of pounds improving the aerodynamics, tyres, engines, gear boxes, brakes and fuel consumption in a bid to be the best and finish top of the Constructors Championship. The 12 teams for the 2012 season are Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, Lotus, Force India, Sauber, Toro Rosso, Williams, Caterham, Marussia and HRT all of which have been out in Spain testing and improving their cars throughout February ready for the first race in Australia on March 18th. Twenty races will make up the 2012 season taking teams right across the world. It begins in March and ends in November and www.Sportsticketstore.co.uk will help you see every race live when you buy Formula 1 tickets through our site. Each Grand Prix is a three day event beginning on a Friday with two practice sessions, followed on the Saturday by a further practice session and then qualifying begins for pole position. The big race takes place on a Sunday so why not make a weekend of it and buy tickets through us for all three days! This season will hopefully see a more competitive championship as the last year saw Red Bull dominate the Constructors Championship winning 12 of the 19 races while only two other teams managed to win a Grand Prix, these being McLaren (6 wins) and Ferrari with the solitary British Grand Prix victory. Red Bull finished on 650 points with McLaren second on 497. In the Driver’s Championship German Sebastian Vettel comfortably won the title winning 11 of the 19 races and amassing 392 points, 122 points clear of his nearest rival McLaren’s Jenson Button. Red Bull look a formidable team again this year and have two of the best drivers in the world in Vettel and Australian Mark Webber but McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button along with Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa will hope new technology on their cars will make them faster and close the gap on Red Bull. All the excitement begins in Melbourne as it did last year when Sebastian Vettel took the 25 points with Lewis Hamilton finishing second. Malaysian, Chinese, Bahrain and the Spanish Grand Prix make up the first five races of the season and the one that British fans will be interested in takes place at Silverstone on the 8th July. Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button will have the home crowd on their side but will both have to do better than last year when Button had a disaster and retired after 39 laps and Hamilton could only manage fifth after Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso recorded a rare win. Wherever you are in the world, buy Formula 1 tickets through www.sportsticketstore.co.uk and sample the electric atmosphere of a Grand Prix weekend including the practice sessions, grid qualification and of course the big race itself.
