Self Belief

Your level of self-belief in not set in stone. We can be flexible and change. Remember you were born into this world with no sense of what you could and couldn’t do. Then the world started to teach you to limit yourself.

When you start to doubt yourself, to that negative inner voice, whose voice is it really… a parent, teacher, and a bully from your past? This inner voice is a collection of different voices and times in your life. That inner self-critical voice wasn’t yours originally, it was masqueraded as belonging to you, but it doesn’t really. Always challenge it and also just plain ignore it.

If we just focus on what is not right about ourselves rather than what is, then we miss opportunities for self-belief. Your body believes everything that you say. Take any negative belief about yourself and flip it so that it becomes, in its place, a positive resource.

Prime you mind with able words (whether you think you have them or not). Words like, strength, dignity, calm, intelligence, humor, generosity, sex appeal, approach ability, popularity, determination. Just focus on the words, not on your present or future qualities just focus on the words. Really reflex upon what each word means to you. You’ll be amazed how doing this will powerfully prime your subconscious mind.

Self-belief comes not by trying to convince yourself you can do stuff. True self-belief actually comes from developing the vision that you can relax socially, start that business, write that book, or whatever it is you need to believe you can do or be. Get into the habit of seeing yourself do the things that you want to do, visualize, and think in pictures.

Imagination is your best weapon. You must use it all the time. The more you see yourself doing the things that you want to do the sooner these things will be reality. When you see yourself doing these things you will never see yourself doing it wrong, you will only see yourself doing it right.

Below is a list of functions of our two sided brain. Do you use both sides; think about it.
Left Brain Functions are: Uses Logic, Detail Oriented, Words & Language, Facts Rule, Present & Past, Math & Science, Can Comprehend, Knowing, Acknowledges, Knows Object Name, Reality Based, Forms Strategies, Safe, and Critical Thinking.

Right Brain Functions are: Uses Feelings, "Big Picture" oriented, Symbols & Images, Imagination Rules, Present & Future, Philosophy & Religion, Can "Get It", Believes, Appreciates, Knows Object Function, Fantasy Based, Present Possibilities, Risk Taking, and Music.

So, start to use all of you brain and you will be able to feel the difference. You will have more self-belief, more confidence and a better life.
