Majority of the people on this planet have managed to go on with their lives fearing other people’s judgment and image of them. rnIf I’m being honest, this was a huge problem in my life when I was that much younger. I always wanted people to like me, and when someone did show any dislike or disdain toward me it had a really bad affect on me and it massively shook my confidence. Luckily as I got older I began to look at these situations from a completely different perspective and started to use some effective techniques to help me deal with these experiences. Everyone would agree that there are some instances when it’s hard to hold other people’s opinion in high regard. It’s important to remember that some people think and say horrible things about you not because they have a personal dislike to you, but instead have a personal dislike with themselves. However, if you are confronted with situations or people that make you feel low in confidence and generally bad about yourself then there are certain self esteem exercises that you can use to both improve your image of yourself and other’s way of perceiving you as well. So go ahead and try them, and experience how well they can help boost your confidence and self esteem. SELF ESTEEM EXERCISES TO TRY OUT #1: BREATH EASY When you are faced with a hard social situation, try to breathe easy. Doing this will help you feel exponentially better about yourself because you will be more relaxed than you currently are. Imagine the inside your body as a void, which you may fill with air. Most of the time, taking deep breaths will not only help you feel more comfortable, but it will help you feel better about yourself. SELF ESTEEM EXERCISES TO TRY OUT #2: MOTIVE EVALUATION It is important that you understand what you may gain, or even lose, from the situation. Doing this will not only help you get things on the right perspective, but it will also help you formulate the right actions that you may use to achieve your goal. If you are not looking into achieving anything in particular, then simply set making connections with other people as your goal. By having a goal that you are working towards, you will be able to psyche yourself to deal with the situation appropriately. SELF ESTEEM EXERCISES TO TRY OUT #3: TALK TO YOURSELF Most of the time, the best way that you can stop yourself from thinking negative thoughts is by telling yourself to stop. You may either simply concentrate on the word or actually tell yourself verbally. Whatever means you choose, make sure that you exert effort into keeping yourself from forming negative images in your head. Think positive, and you find that things will turn out positively as well. SELF ESTEEM EXERCISES TO TRY OUT #4: FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS People often make the mistake of holding certain things in high regard. For one, a lot of females are very much self conscious about the way that they look that they forget about their other strong points. If you are not feeling particularly good about the way that you look, then simply focus on your other redeeming factors. This will help you feel better and react to the situation better, as well. SELF ESTEEM EXERCISES TO TRY OUT #5: DISTRACT YOURSELF The most effective way to build self esteem is to avoid thinking about the situation in hand. This will not only help you feel better about the situation, but it will also help you relax as well. As a matter of fact, this is one of the most important things that you can do to ultimately feel better. Using just one of the tips above will go a long way to helping you become more confident, happy and relaxed in any difficult situation you may encounter, but to achieve the best and most effective results try to use a combination of all these self esteem exercises.

While I was waiting for my dance class to start, I watched an instructor patiently coach a couple through what was obviously one of their first lessons.
