Should I provide you with a dictionary definition? No, my own will suffice. For me, to be self-sufficient means: to be able to exist, to fonction, to be able to live my life without depending on others.

Self sufficiency of the senses, specifically breathing.

Even if a person may appear to be depending on others, the same person may be self sufficient in all of its beauty.

We hear often that in order to love we must love ourselves first. The same comparaison can apply for existence. In order to be functional, to exist, to live a life where we can give, share, exchange, one must be self sufficient.

I consider my self self sufficient "internaly" and depending on the material level, the physical and relative level exte
ally.

My little self needs to work, to earn a living to keep its autonomy. I need my body to live, to move and go around. Except that I could stop working, even stop moving and I would still "BE" self sufficient!

How can that be?

How can one person BE self sufficient without doing any thing?

This is a question you may ask your self and that I will answer you in my next article.

Therefore, my next article will provide you with real answers as to how to become really self sufficient.

We will use passages of The Upanishads : The Sacred Books of the East to give you some answers to this question of how to be self sufficient.

Till then,

Namaste.
