Making a profit with resell rights products is not as simple as many people make it out to be, especially if you are new to selling products on the Internet. There is more to selling private label rights products than simply building a nice-looking website with a sales page on it. Only a few people will be able to find your site if you don't put in the effort to promote it.
For this article, I'll assume that you've already got a website set up to market your private label rights products. You purchased a few PLR products and put them for sale on your website. Maybe you revised or rewrote them first to make them unique, or maybe not. Either way, your website is up with private label right products available for sale. Now all you need to do is get people to come to your site.
Promoting a website selling private label ebooks is not any different than promoting other websites. The problem is that most people who buy resale rights products are just getting started in selling products on the Internet and really don't know what to do with them, let alone how to attract website visitors. If you have never promoted a website before, then you will need to learn some things about how to promote a website if you'd like to get more PLR sales.
The key to bringing in traffic is to promote your site until it gets to the top of the results in Google. You want your site to be right at the top of Google when someone searches for the keyword they would use to find your product. You won't get very much traffic if people need to go to the second page to find your site.
The first step in figuring out which keywords you should try to rank for is to consider what people would enter into the search box if they want to find what you sell. If you're marketing a private label rights product that teaches people how to quit smoking cigarettes, perhaps they will type "stop smoking" in the search engine. Or perhaps they will try something more specific, like "stop smoking quickly."
In addition to figuring out which keywords people might use to search for the type of information you sell, you should find out which keyword phrases you will be able to rank for in the search engine results. This step is harder. One way to figure out which keywords will be the easiest is to look up the competition listed on Google. If they are all PageRank 4 or lower, it probably won't be too hard to beat them.
The keyword phrase you select to go after should appear in the sales page on your website at least a few times. Every webpage on your site should target a different keyword. This is quite easy if you are marketing a different ebook on each page of your site.
Once your site is ready, you have to start getting links back to your site. Backlinks are links from other websites to your website. How do you get links on other sites? It's actually quite easy You can do this by submitting articles that include links coming back to your website to all of the article directories. Make the maximum use of this by ading in links to multiple pages on your site if the site will let you.
Some keywords will have to have over a hundred backlinks to get your site to the front page on Google. This can be time consuming, but the end results are worth it. As you get more links, you will most likely start ranking higher in the search engines. You will probably see an increase in traffic and hopefully more sales.
If you don't have time to write a whole bunch of articles in order to get backlinks to your website, there are other choices. You can find a writer at freelance sites who will do the article writing for you. You can have articles written for about $5 to $7 each, or if that's too expensive you can hire a writer to rewrite each of your articles several times for $1 to $2 per article. Spinning software is another option.
As you keep on submitting more articles and getting backlinks, you will see your website traffic increasing and hopefully you will start making sales. Now that you are getting some traffic, you might want to increase your product offerings by purchasing a package of PLR products to sell to your visitors.
