Sending Covert Hypnosis Commands

Conversational, or covert hypnosis is a type of mental influence that is done through communication. There are many forms of communication, though, and not just the spoken dialogue we immediately think of when the term conversational hypnosis is brought up. This type of hypnosis is one that talks to the subliminal mind, and makes an appeal for your agreement through your subconscious. This can be done through the spoken work and also through the written word, as seen in quite a few studies of subliminal marketing. However, hypnosis will not work without a specific command, and one that can be perceived by the subconscious while easily passing through the censorship filter of the conscious. There are a few terms that you can make use of in order to get what you want. Now why should you only appeal to the subconscious? If you present someone with an overt command, like, “Shut down your computer now!” you may get an immediate response of a good kind (the person obeys immediately) or a bad kind (you'll get the question, “Why?” or a flat-out “No!”) as the conscious mind filters and rationalizes your command. But how would you embed a command such as that in your conversation or in your written words? Well, the first thing is not to say it outright, but to couch the words in such a way that they are completely acceptable to the person you are talking to. You may have come across an email that contained a whole paragraph of badly spelled words yet you were able to decipher the message that was sent. The explanation on the email is the exact point of this – the human mind can translate a pattern and come up with a workable sort of data that your conscious mind can understand. So even if only the first and last letters of all the words were in their proper places, your mind was able to interpret and translate the word correctly. What does that have to do with hypnosis? Well, if a person says something that sounds like another sort of word, then your mind can interpret that differently. For example, if you are listening to the home shopping network and the saleswoman says something like, “Many people have taken a look at and liked the “Home Dust Genie” BY NOW” then your subconscious interpret “by now” as “BUY now.” Have you noticed that phrase is one of the most-repeated ones on any advertorial? Now you know why.
