Serviced offices are much more than simply offices to let. Rather than having an empty room (or rooms) which you then need to furnish, you’ll have all the basic office furniture you will need. However, a serviced office goes even further than just a furnished office space – there are a whole host of extra services from which you can benefit.
Normally, when you’d start looking for offices to let, you would also have to spend some time researching and finding suppliers for all your utilities. With a serviced office, these are all included in the price of your lease, so not only will you not have to spend time shopping around for the cheapest supplier, you also won’t have to closely monitor your usage because you’ll be on a standard flat rate.
Instead of having to hire a cleaner – or clean the premises yourself! – you will usually get cleaning services included in the price of your lease, and the same generally applies to security. Many business centres are manned by door staff who will prevent unwanted visitors from making their way up to your office, and the building will usually have other security features such as CCTV and alarms too.
Serviced offices often also provide other staffing resources which will prove invaluable to your business, particularly if you are a one-man band or are frequently out of the office. Receptionists will be able to field your calls, taking messages and patching callers through. They will also be able to greet your visitors and direct them to your office door, or provide them with a comfortable waiting area until you are ready. Similarly, your serviced office may come with IT support to help you out when you get into computing difficulties. If you can’t afford your own dedicated member of staff, then this is another service you may well be glad of!
