Be open in this process. Don’t stop yourself from dreaming. It is important to be honest in saying what you want and don’t want in a job. There are no right or wrong answers. Ask these following questions.

1. What will you be doing?
Describe what your average day will look like? What about an average week or month? What will you get a buzz out of? What will you do because you have to? What do you never want to do?

2. Who will you be working with?
Will you be working alone or with a team, or both? What kind of people do you like hanging out with?

3. Who will be your boss?
No one because you want to be the boss? A bunch of cool clients, because you want to run your own business. If you want a boss what will he or she be like? What will his or her values be? Which famous leaders do you respect?

4. Where will you work?
Location, location, location? Small company or large company?

5. Why will you be doing this?
What is your passion? Why do you work? How do you want you career to be remembered?

6. What’s missing?
Anything you need to add, add. It’s your dream job, so give yourself permission to think big. Make this description as complete as possible.
