I won't be able to discuss shed blueprints without first explaining how we found them. This article is actually about how to add more room. Although there is a lot of space in our home, it isn't laid out very well. For example, we have two living rooms. I know that was popular back then, but that space would have been better allocated to rooms.

At first we were thinking of converting the living room basically into another room. There's problems with this approach though. For one thing, we'd have to sacrifice a nice entertainment area. But the other thing is that no matter how we sliced it, there was no way to make it really look good. Although this was doable, and not terribly expensive, it didn't really excite us.

Adding onto the house was an option too, but MUCH more expensive. It'd require an extension to the roof, which isn't a big deal, but that part of the house would have sightly newer shingles than the rest of the house which would be just weird. There'd be the added square footage, which would be nice, but you also have to heat and cool that extra sq/footage, and also clean it. We would be able to add in things like "dream bathrooms" and large closets though if we wanted. One of the toughest things to stomach though was the disruption to our lives. Once we realized though that we'd have to live with our current master bedroom exposed to an unfinished portion of the rest of the home for a period of time, we decided against it. We decided that we'd do that last resort.

About this time we weren't sold on any of those approaches. That was about the time we stopped by our friend's place. Now we didn't actually talk about our situation because they were showing us some stuff they were working on. From what I remember it was a case of needing more space for more stuff like gardening equipment etc. During our conversation, I found my mind drifting to our problem, and suddenly it dawned on me. We needed a cottage! This way we could add room to our home (in a sense) without actually adding room to our home. I started asking this gentleman more questions, and the more I asked, the more excited I got. The most caveat though, according to the husband is that shed blueprints are a must, and he showed me where to find them (some for free). Although this place has shed blueprints they also have cottage plans.

A swimming pool brings comfort, fun, and value to a home or business. Whether it is used for family relaxation or commercial purposes, a pool must stay clean, safe, and fully working at all times. Many people focus only on water cleaning and chemicals, but the real work happens in the pool equipment.
