Going on the Gluten-free, Casein-free Diet (otherwise known as GFCF) can have tremendous benefits for children on the autism spectrum. In fact, many physicians agree that by removing potential inflammatory ingredients from a child’s diet (especially a child on the spectrum), you have a much better chance of taming the immune system and solving some of the physical riddles that often come along with the diagnosis of autism.

If you’ve been thinking about making the switch to GFCF in your child’s diet, you may be wondering about some of the following questions:

  • What’s the big deal with gluten and casein?
  • Which foods contain these things?
  • Can my child have a balanced diet without gluten and casein?
  • What will he/she still be able to eat?
  • How do I implement the diet when my child’s diet is already so limited?
  • Where do I go from here?

We will cover all of these things and much more on the next episode of The Mother Cub Show, airing on Wednesday, September 7th at 8am Pacific/ 10am Central on WorldTalk Radio. This important episode will feature two experts who can help shed light on why “going GFCF” may be the best thing for you and your family.

The first half of the show will feature Dr. Kurt Woeller who will explain why so many kids with autism have an allergy or sensitivity to gluten and casein. The second half of the show will feature Dr. Lisa Lewis, who has recently published a revised and expanded edition of her wildly-popular cookbook, called Special Diets for Special Kids.

So mark your calendars and join us on September 7th to find out why the GFCF diet may be the best “first-line defense” in our fight for our children with autism. To tune in to this episode of The Mother Cub Show, click here: http://www.worldtalkradio.com/worldtalkradio/vepisode.aspx?aid=56150
