Popping a daily vitamin pill has become a regular procedure in some people's lives just as having a shower first thing in the morning. Big business! The supplement and vitamin industry has become big business over the years with huge varieties to select from. We should consider the word "select" most carefully. Not all formula creations in supplements are equal and there for selecting the right one is crucial in getting results. Considerable information is available about supplements and how important they are for good health and health improvement. Although some informative points are all together missing and some are misleading. Controversy and knowing the truth in question about the many supplements, pills, capsules and powders out there is a matter of difference that leaves many questions unanswered. When a market becomes as big as the supplement - vitamin market, within comes the risk of quality being diluted or reduced to make a quick buck and higher profits. Selecting the right formula! There are only a selected few natural supplements that have all the nutrients, multi-vitamins, the good fats, oils, omega 3 and 6, immune booster etc., all rolled into one in liquid form without having to gulp a single capsule or pill. The benefit of a liquid type supplement is the quick absorption in to the bloodstream without any loss of the nutritional values unlike a pill. Substitute or compromise food with supplement! Good food should never be substituted or compromised for any supplement, although selecting the right type of food is essential. Our food has become depleted in nutrition over the years and there for it is a good insurance policy to take multivitamins every day. One of the biggest health-problem is the over-processed food. Approximately 70 percent of food sold in supermarkets is not fit for human consumption. Yet many people eat fast foods as their everyday diet and are doing untold damage to their health. No amount of vitamins or the best supplement on this earth can erase the damage from this sort of diet unless changing the eating habit before taking any supplementation. Good food is important! Staying on an unhealthy diet for a long time has a certain effect on the bacteria system in our gut. There are good and bad bacteria. We do need the bad bacteria as well although in a smaller amount. An ideal balance would be to have 80 percent good bacteria and 20 percent of the bad bacteria. Maintaining this ideal ratio requires the right amount of probiotics and the best way of getting them is in the food you eat. What type of food should we choose? It should go back to the form of fermented and cultured foods like some centuries ago, when our food was simple, normal and healthy without preservatives. It is possible to ferment any food; cabbage becomes sauerkraut, fruit, beans, vegetables, dairy, grains, meat, fish etc. And from all of these fermented foods you will consume trillions of good bacteria your gut needs. Fermented food lasts for years covered in its own juice without preservatives or refrigeration, all on Mother Nature's wisdom. Supplementation a must! Our diet in today's food supply will unlikely ever be perfect.
