We can’t depend on others to make us happy. Others will say and do things which will disappoint us. They will say things out of fear, jealous and pride. People are unkind and wicked at times. They will not do things we believe they should do. How we react to what others do is really all we can control. We need to remember their actions are not of God and we should set the example.

We need to love and help all people. It sounds like some sort of fairy tale, but that is only because we are not use to it in this world of ours. However, it is what God wants us to do. Our lives would be so much easier if we would give every issue we have to God and let go of them. God is with us wanting to do for us. He wants to handle our problems and ease our pain. He can only do this if we allow Him to.
Luke 6:35-36 “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.”
When we let go and give Him our problems, we can better focus on what He wants us to do. When we let go, we can better help someone. If we have bad feelings toward someone because of what they did or didn’t do, we can’t see what they need from us. Everyone needs something from us when God is working through us. If our pride is in the way, God won’t work in us.

If we will only let things go, then we will see the hurtful words and actions of others really don’t matter. The hurtful feelings go away. We will see how God wants us to care about others and encourage them. We will see how God wants to work through us. We should be compassionate toward others just as God is.

Compassionate people really care. They don’t think about what it is they can get from a situation or a person. They aren’t thinking about what they will say next and how they appear to another person. They only think about how they can help the other person. They don’t care what the other person has done in the past or is doing now. They only care about what they can do to help them.

God can help us be compassionate people. God can do His mighty works through us. We have to be willing and aware of when He speaks to us. We have to be open to let things go and allow Him to do for others no matter what they have done to us. We have to be able to look past the issues and look at the person. Everything is really about people. How we treat others is a reflection on us and our relationship with God.

God can work through us so we can treat people with more compassion. God will work through us so we can love and help others through our actions. We never know who is watching and how we are helping, but God knows. We can show compassion even when we don’t speak. God can make great things happen through us when we give all our issues to Him. He will help us show compassion and help us make a difference.
