Whether you rent or own your own home, be proud of your surroundings by decorating it with monogrammed outdoor décor.

Display the initial of your last name with pride on a doormat, flag, or your mailbox. Those going by will know the person who lives there takes care of their space. Monograms set you apart.

Flags

Flags have been used since ancient times. In war, it identified the two sparring sides or it heralded the presence of a nobleman on the battlefield. Starting in medieval times, flags were flown to proclaim the occupant of an estate or castle. Even today, the flag is flown in royal residences when the monarch is in residence.

But you don’t have to be a monarch or a nobleman to fly your own flag. Today, you can fly a monogrammed flag from your deck, the porch or over your garage door. They are available in all 26 letters.

Welcome your guests with a black flag with off-white scrollwork and pineapple stitching that makes up the border around the same off-white monogram. The pineapple – long a symbol of hospitality – tells your guests you are happy to see them. The monogram gives them a good hint that they have picked the right house. This flag is available in two sizes. The larger flag measures 44 inches high by 28 inches wide. The smaller flag, measuring 18 inches high by 12½ inches wide, is perfect to stake in a front flower bed.

If you are less formal, you might like a floral scroll flag with a monogram. Created in off-white, the flag has a deep red border across the top that matches the color used in the monogram. Flowers, leaves and flourishes pop up within and around the monogram. It too comes in the two sizes given above. You will definitely want to plant the smaller flag in a flowering bed and hang the larger one above a garden.

To add a bright spot of color, check out the Gablecrest monogram flag. Its bright peridot background is abloom with a peony type flower along the top and bottom edges. The monogram stands out in bold black. It will complement your flowers in the summer and spring and remind you of those days when autumn comes around. It is also available in two sizes.

If you are looking for something even larger, you will want the estate flag, which measures a full 36 inches across and 54 inches tall. It is created in the same color palette as the pineapple flag, but the scrollwork border is anchored by two fleur de lis designs. It has a wide black border around every edge. A flag like this should be hung near an entrance.

When winter rolls around, it’s time to bring out the monogrammed holiday wreath flag. This festive flag features a bough of mistletoe and a wreath of bright red berries with the monogram in the center. All is laid on a white backdrop. Made of soft, high-quality nylon, the flag is made with fade resistant colors to survive even the harshest weather. It is available in two sizes.

Mats

You will want to pair up your flag with a coordinating doormat at all entrances. The estate flag goes with a traditional coir doormat with the monogram inside the scrollwork and fleur de lis. The natural woven coir is made from coconut fiber, making it eco-friendly, durable, and an effective dirt trapper. The mat has a recycled rubber backing to keep it in place when you wipe your feet. It measures 28 inches wide by 16 inches tall.

A similar coir mat features flourishes and a classic block letter monogram. Or you can select an imperial coir mat, which has a plain background and a large monogram in the center. Both mats are the same size and made of the same materials described above.
Match the holiday flag with a holiday coir doormat with holly leaves and berries surrounding the monogram. Because it features a winter plant, you can leave it out all winter long – not just for the holidays.

Mailboxes

If you really like the look you are flying on your flag, you can pair it up with a matching monogrammed mailbox cover. The designs match the estate flag and the pineapple flag. They are made with a full magnetic back so they are easy to attach to your rural post box.

Give as a gift

You may love the look these monogrammed products give your home, but these flags, mats and mailbox covers are also one of the best personalized gifts you can give. When someone moves into a new home, greet them with a monogrammed gift. When a young couple marries, let them mark their home with the new initial they share. You can share in their pride.
