Analgesics are the drug which is given to lessen the pain in body or body part, while remaining conscious that means that the person do not becomes unconscious. rnNow how does this ibuprofen works? Well there are these chemicals named prostaglandins. These chemicals are released by our body in case we get injured. These chemicals cause pain and inflammation or swelling. This is the sign which body uses to tell us that our body is injured and it needs help. What ibuprofen does is that it blocks these prostaglandins. This reduces both the pain and the swelling, providing relief to the person who is injured. This is why ibuprofen is so popular among people. The other reason behind ibuprofen’s popularity is the low number of ibuprofen side effects. Some of the most common uses are fever, inflammation, headache, toothache, back pain, arthritis, minor injuries, menstrual pain and common allergies. rnSome of the common ibuprofen side effects are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia which includes problems like bloating or indigestion and upper abdominal pain, any pain in stomach or intestines. Some less common side effects are dizziness, fluid retention, hypertension, stomach ulcers, rashes or stomach inflammation. rnYou should not take ibuprofen if you are sensitive or allergic to aspirin or any non steroidal anti inflammatory medication. You should not take it if you have or have had peptic ulcer or a severe heart attack or if you are pregnant. You should always check with your doctor about taking ibuprofen if you have had asthma or kidney problems or liver problems or high blood pressure or heart problems or have ever suffered from stomach bleeding or if ever have had a stroke. rnIbuprofen side effects or not, you should always consult your doctor before starting any medication.
