Signs Of Menopause - Why Mental Preparation Is Vital For Menopause
It's one of the most hotly discussed women's health topics on the planet but how many really understand what the signs of menopause really are.
Preparation is such a big factor in most things in life and believe it or not, understanding the signs of menopause for women even before they are withi
"cooee" of being affected by it makes good sense.
We are not talking about putting up a fortress around yourself as part of the preparation process but preparing mentally for it. Just become a little knowledgeable on the topic so you can read the menopause signs when they arrive.
It's a natural progression in a woman's life and believe it or not, many women have embraced it as a new beginning in their lives.
Lack Of Knowledge
It's agreed most will have some knowledge of menopause but how many of those women really know what signs to look out for. It's one thing to say...
"Oh yeah, menopause, I know all about it. Isn't it the start of a woman's torture phase?"...
However, this attitude isn't going to help you deal with it when it comes along and knocks on your door. In a recent survey I was interested a results which saw three quarters of the women surveyed saying they had good knowledge of what menopause was.
Knowing The Symptoms
When they were pressed for a little more detail they were left floundering and in most cases, really had no clue what the symptoms were. In fact, less than one third knew if their periods stopped for a year or more they had reached menopause.
On the other hand, just over half saw menopause as the beginning of a new life and it's this type of mindset which is going to help them cope with such things as hot flashes, mood swings, night sweats and fatigue.
If you have heard the horror stories about menopause from other people don't take as gospel what you hear. At least do a little research on the subject; talk to your doctor or even you mother or grandmother.
Knowing the signs of menopause is a good start but having the right mental mindset is just as important.
