Sometimes even after eating regular meals you encounter the feeling of tiredness and headaches or pale skin and shortened breaths! All of the above factors collectively sum up for symptoms of Anemia. Hemoglobin is an iron rich protein in RBCs that carries oxygen through the body. Deficiency of hemoglobin is a condition addressed as Anemia.

This might be either because your RBCs count has fallen or because of iron, folic acid or vitami
C and B12 deficiency. Though it is a mere condition of body mineral deficiencies, it severely affect your day to day activities causing fatigue, low blood pressure, depression, hair loss, dizziness, alteration in taste buds and many more.

The best way to deal with Anemia is to include iron rich food in your daily meals. Some rich sources of iron, other minerals and vitamins to cure Anemia are listed below.

Juice It Up

Beet Root Juice | Insights Care

Beet root and pomegranate juice are on the top notch for Anemia treatment. Pomegranates are a rich source of iron, potassium and copper. Daily consumption of these fruits or juices helps the body to maintain the Hb and iron levels. Apples are also effective if consumed on a daily basis and banana smoothie with honey is the best source of potassium and iron.

Increase Vitamin C Intake

Make it a habit to drink a glass of lemon water every day in the morning as high levels of vitami
C in the body will regulate the iron content in the blood. Vitamin C is essential for anemic people because it is great absorbent of iron. Along with lemon other citrus fruit juices such as oranges might also work wonders in dealing with Anemia.

Go Green

Increase leafy vegetables in your daily meals. Spinach, fenugreek, broccoli and other green vegetables are great source of iron. Spinach can be consumed as juice and fenugreek seeds with honey are a superb combination of various minerals. They also treat Anemia effectively as they are a very rich source of iron.

Minerals from Vessels

Drinking water stored in copper vessels overnight, and cooking food in iron vessels is one of the most ancient methods used to maintain the intake of essential elements such as iron and other rich minerals on a daily basis.

Seeds and dates

Sesame seeds (black) and dates are a rich source of iron. Also black strap molasses is a power house of nutrients, especially recommended for pregnant women.

Protein Rich Animal Meat

Non vegetarian folks can consume animal meat such as kidney and liver which is rich source of vitami
B12 and iron and is highly effective in bringing up Hb levels.

Women are more prone to Anemia than men especially in pregnancy and during menstrual cycles as the blood level drops heavily. Hence it is a very important to maintain the levels of Hb to 12gm/dl for women and 14gm/dl for men. Including these essential nutrients in your diet will help you to avoid unnecessary health crisis due to weakness.

The sources of rich minerals and vitamins do not limit to the above mentioned ones. One must have a balanced intake of all the essential foods and juices for maintaining a healthy and fit body. Also in severe conditions it is always safe to visit a doctor instead of settling with a home remedy.
