Try and stay focused for the first three weeks of the diet plan: The first three weeks of any diet plan are the most crucial. This is when the body experiences hunger pangs, making you feel irritable and upset. After a few weeks the body gets used to the regime and ultimately gives you a better control.
Eat as much raw vegetables as you can: Uncooked vegetables are low on calorie count and rich in nutrients (that are usually lost during the cooking process). During your lunch and dinner make sure that you fill half of your plate with veggies. If raw vegetables aren’t to your liking try broiling, steaming, or grilling. Frying and sautéing are an ideal solution.
Restrict sugar and white flour: Processed food is rich in sugar and salt and indeed very harmful to health. Try and avoid cookies, chips, ketchup, commercially made jams as much as you can. But don’t really banish them altogether. Try and control intake as much as you can.
Drink lukewarm water: Warm water helps in burning fat and also aids in digestion.
Drink green tea: There are several studies to indicate that green increases metabolism and also suppresses appetite. Green tea is a great anti oxidant and replenishes the body of its lost energy. Drinking green tea three times in a day controls your urge to eat.
Control your urge to eat sugar: Skip desserts to control your urge to eat food high in sugar. If you have to eat sugar, make sure that you eat in at least 15 minutes before lunch or dinner. Sugar gives energy to your body, thereby controlling your urge to over eat.
Include simple yet effective ingredients in your foods: Traditional diet is almost always balanced and includes many food supplements that burn fat. Ginger, pepper, fenugreek, mint, tomato, lemon are examples of ingredients that help in burning fat and induce weight loss.
