Have you ever heard the expression ‘keep it simple, sweetie’? There is gold in them there words, LOL!

Keep it simple has become my new mantra. I know that I have been guilty of complicating things and that’s a problem. It’s a problem when it comes to marketing, to networking, to helping clients, to presenting keynotes – it’s a problem, period.

I’ve come to realize that when I have a problem – you probably do, too. That’s the reason for this article.

What I’ve come to realize that, for those of us in business, the more simple we keep things the faster we can grow our business. Who doesn’t want that?

Last week, I hosted a client for a VIP Planning session – that’s where and when I absolutely realized the power of S.I.M.P.L.E. She is re-launching her business after a life-changing disease. It will take time to build her energy but one thing we both know for sure is that she has a powerful message to get out – and get it out she must. In the middle of a simple one-minute exercise that I gave her to do – it all came together. Yup! Right there and then – in that one simple minute.

How would you like your business to come together that easily? It is possible and here’s my simple formula (no pun intended)!

1) What?
What is the one simple solution that you provide to people? Where can you help them change, improve, grow, develop, solve, study, move, …….? What is it you offer? When you get clear on this – in one simple statement – you will attract ideal clients. They will easily understand what you are about and will eagerly seek you out.

2) Who?
Who needs you most? You can’t possibly serve ‘everyone’. It drives me nuts when I hear people say “I work with everyone’. No you don’t. You can’t possibly. There are too many of ‘them’. When you keep your ‘what’ message s.i.m.p.l.e., the people who need you most will find you. Isn’t that what you really want?

3) Why?
This is one of the most important aspects of this formula – why are you doing what you are doing anyway? Again, this must be a simple answer. I am doing the work I am doing because I want to teach women entrepreneurs the techniques to achieve financial freedom – so they can live their best life. It doesn’t have to be as hard for them as it was for me over the past few years. Because of what I’ve learned and accomplished, I can help them fast-track. What is your why? Get clear – keep it simple – and get going.

4) How?
This is something many entrepreneurs ask themselves all the time – and over and over again. The ‘how’ can range from establishing your office hours, to your mental state, to your environmental office space. You need to identify each of these things – get a grip – and, again, keep it simple and clear.

One thing I do on a regular basis is to asses what’s working and what’s not. This habit will also help you to keep things s.i.m.p.l.e. because you can have your finger on the pulse of your business. You’ve got to have a plan and a strategy – and work it.

That’s it – easy, peasy. The more I work with my coaches, the more we simplify everything that I am doing and saying. I am the one who makes it complicated. And that stops here and it stops now.

The beauty of this is that my clients benefit and I get to live MY best life. Prospects are attracted to my message, my clients understand what I am about and how I can help them, I make more money and work less. Amen to simplicity!
