It is quite a norm for businesses to have an IP PBX in place for their phone systems however only a handful of businesses can say that they are using the system in its full potential and often times if you talk about telecommunication to a business owner all they can is how it is burning their budget with ridiculously high calling charges and line rentals. Luckily that burden is about to become an obsolete matter of the past. The technology of SIP trunking is now being widely used across the globe to replace traditional telephony trunk lines. Just think of it this way, instead of routing calls into a bundle of copper wires and exchanges calls are routed over the internet instead thus it uses lesser PST network resulting to a significant reduction in dial rates and because SIP Trunking is IP network based you can utilize your current IP PBX sweeping you away from set up expenditures. Things you Need There are 3 basic elements to deploy a SIP trunking platform and first is the IP based PBX that is able to communicate to all end points over the IP network. Most businesses today are using this type of PBX system is this is rarely an issue to deploy the technology. Second is the border element the LAN PBX to the ISTP, normally a firewall with complete support for SIP is used or an edge device connected to the firewall which handles traversal SIP traffic and lastly is the ISTP or the Internet Telephony Service Provider which will open the channel in connecting your LAN to PST networks. Just be sure to choose an ISTP with a wide footprint of servers to ensure business grade quality every time you pick up the phone regardless of where you are calling. Benefits to your Business On average businesses using a SIP trunk line are saving up to 50% on their telecommunication bills. How? First is the dial rates, local calls, mobile calls and international calls are cheaper but still conveying it in business grade quality, there are even providers that offer untimed calls meaning you will pay per call and not by the minute and you can talk as long as you want perfect for sales calls and call appointments. Another is via line rentals, in traditional telephony you have to pay each telephone you have a line for it. If you have 10 telephones then you have to pay 10 lines but in reality, you don’t really use all 10 phones at the same time, maybe 3 or 4 of them are engaged at the same time but you pay for 10. In a SIP trunk you will only pay 3 or 4 lines to handle concurrent incoming calls but still have 10 extensions. There are even service providers that offer unlimited outgoing lines for free. Although the technology has been around since 2005 it faced severe difficulty to succeed then because of lack of information how the technology works, it is more like fear of the unknown, but today with business owners being more technological savvy and computer wizards SIP trunking is projected a continued growth reaching up to 770% in the next 3 years.

The Quiet Engine Behind Every Connection Most people think of telecom services as towers, signals, and mobile data moving invisibly through the air. Yet behind every call that connects and every message that reaches its destination, there is another system quietly working in the background. That system is the call center. While customers often interact with telecom companies only when something goes wrong, these centers operate constantly, guiding problems toward solutions an
