A good nights sleep is essential to our health and well being. Having just 30 minutes less a night can leave you waking up feeling sluggish tired and dreading the day ahead. While some people rarely have sleeping problems, the majority of people have spells where they have trouble sleeping. For many its a persistent problem and its a problem that can really effect your physical and emotional health and well being. If you have trouble sleeping through the night and if you wake up constantly, then chances are that your mattress might be the culprit. Your mattress has a massive effect on the quality of sleep you get. If you are sleeping on the wrong mattress then you will probably wake up several times during the night as your body tries to adjust itself. Many people actually wake up frequently without even knowing it. If your mattress is too hard or too soft then it can give you too little or too much support. In this case your spine can be affected and this in turn can place additional pressure on the supporting muscles. When you sleep your body needs to be in rest and your muscles relaxed. When your muscles are forced to "work" while you sleep then it will affect you severely. Some mattresses can actually affect you in terms of allergies and traditional spring mattresses are known for harboring all sorts of mites and bugs. A latex mattress might be a good option as its hypo-allergenic and won't build up mold. If a mattress is too hot or too cold and if it can't "breathe" then it can also affect your sleeping patterns. If your skin gets irritated in any way then it will wake you up. Of ten times just changing your bed can make all the difference. Why not try it and see what difference it makes for you.
