Sleeping with the Enemynn nSuccess is often sabotaged by a lack of self-care: a loss of self-awareness. In the dash for success and accomplishment we can often forget to remember ourselves. We can forget that if we fail to look after those areas of our life that are fundamental to our sustenance - let’s call that our personal foundation - we’ll eventually be unable to look after anyone else, never mind get to the top of hierarchy or the bottom of our to-do list.nn nThis is what can happen: we become immersed in business or chores or wrapped up in the run up to the next crisis. Head down. Awareness blinded. Driven by adrenaline. We lose track of time. We lose that common sense of who we are and what really matters in life.nn nThen one day we catch our mismanagement in the mirror or on a bank statement or on the face of someone we love and we wonder how and when we became so oblivious. nWe can be our own worst enemy.
