Small But Sure Steps to Attracting Financial Abundance

The Law of Attraction has been popularised by the movie "The Secret" in recent years, but if we look back into history, we can see that there have been vocal proponents from many different time periods. For example, Florence Scovel Shinn was an early 20th century Metaphysics writer and teacher of The New Thought Movement, much loved and best known for her first book, a prosperity classic, (which was self-published, by the way) The Game of Life and How to Play it. The following quote sums up her philosophy:

"The invisible forces are ever working for man who is always 'pulling the strings' himself, though he does not know it. Owing to the vibratory power of words, whatever man voices, he begins to attract."

Amongst the many examples she gives in her book, she describes how a woman once came to her for help in attracting a new dinner service. Not long afterwards a friend gave her a single dish, which was old and cracked. She came to Florence complaining "Well, I asked for a set of dishes, and all I got was a cracked plate!"

Florence replied "The plate was only signs of land. It shows your dishes are coming - look upon it as birds and seaweed," and not long afterwards the dishes came.

So often, when we get something that seems like an exceptionally small portion of what we ordered in, we give up, as if these measly universal offerings are a sign of how little we are worth and definitely evidence that The Law of Attraction does not work! Attracting with your thoughts, yeah right.

But how different our experience of life would be if we saw these crumbs of manifestation as a sign of greater things to come! So, next time you are asking for an expansion in your finances for e.g. and someone buys you lunch, then celebrate - as if kindness clearly abounds! If your vacuum cleaner breaks down completely and someone gives you one they had going spare, you can say The Universe provides for me in a myriad of ways. If a 2-4-1 offer for your favourite pizza comes flying through your door, then tell yourself, I live in an abundant and generous world! If cash comes to you out of the blue like a scratch card win, or finding a coin in the street, then notice that money is right now flowing freely to you.

Remember who it is that is making the distinction between attracting £1, or £1000,000.

As you line up with these snippets of abundance and you notice the universal acts of generosity, that are around you right now, at the same time intending for greater things, The Law of Attraction has to add to this, bringing you even more expansion on your finances. It won't be very long until you are spending more time thinking about the money and gifts that are flowing to you, rather than the money that is flowing out of your wallet. Now that you are putting your attention on things coming your way, you are a match for financial abundance aren't you?

The Law of Attraction always brings you that to which you are a vibrational match.
