Advent of SMS platform has changed the way companies used to market their products and services. This system has proved its worth as a marketing agent and this is evident from the businesses using mobile marketing for promoting their products and services. SMS marketing could be expensive if done from regular mobile phones. But this system cuts the mobile marketing budget drastically and makes mobile advertising the most cost effective marketing technique. One can send millions of SMSs in a few dollars. The return on investment is also high. Statistics reveal that one can expect more than 40% return on one’s mobile marketing campaigns.
SMS platform not only flashes bulk messages but also keeps track of each message so that one can know the usability of one’s mobile advertising campaign. The system allows users to stop a running campaign for change of setting or control the budget. The leads generated through mobile marketing campaigns are stored in the system and the reseller can forward the leads to the concerned clients. This kind of facility is not available with any other form of marketing. In print ads, you can’t stop an ad from publishing once it is in the press. Also you can’t reverse an audio visual ad if you find it defective.
A marketing SMS not only conveys the marketing message to the customers but it also opens a direct communication line between businesses and their targeted customers. The recipients can respond to the marketing call right from their mobiles. But one can’t respond to a print advertisement or audio visual ads. Another difference between SMS marketing and conventional advertising is that the SMS follows the customers and print and audio visual ads wait for the customers. Mobile marketing is made a reality by the SMS platform and there could be no denying to this fact.
