Market has become competitive and this is evident from the businesses using multiple marketing techniques to increase their visibility. Today a manufacturer, supplier or a service provider has to use both print and electronic media to reach out to its customers. But traditional media requires attention from the general public. To see a newspaper ad, one has to go through all the pages of the newspaper. For electronic ad, one has to sit before the TV. Businesses can urge people to see their advertisements by sending SMSs regarding their print and electronic ads. The messages can be sent from a SMS platform.

For instance take a website. The website owner can contact his probable visitors through messages and urge them to visit his website. He can send a million messages and get at least fifty thousand visitors on his website. The good thing is that he doesn’t need to wait for the increase in his website traffic. As soon as the mobile users would receive the message, they would visit the website when they would access the Internet. For mobile marketing, the website owner can used a SMS platform and send as many messages as he wants at affordable price.

Departmental stores and retail outlets of the manufacturers can use mobile marketing for distributing discount coupons to a large number of people. Retail stores offer discounts on various goods, products and items. They need buyers for the discounted goods. Printing and distributing pamphlets is expensive and also it can cover only a limited area. Publishing newspaper advertisement regularly would be an expensive affair. But flashing SMSs from a SMS platform is affordable, convenient and result oriented. Buyers can come to the department stores and take advantage of the discount offer by showing the messages.

Mobile marketing is beneficial for every business whether it is a retail outlet, big manufacturing company or an individual. Socialites make personal contact to increase their mass base. They visit from one place to other and meet many people in a day. But little do they know that they can stay connected with their followers through SMSs. They can muster mass support for a specific cause using mobile marketing. Their media managers can start mobile campaigns through SMS platform and contact millions of people in a day. The greatest advantage of mobile marketing is that it opens a line of communication between the advertiser and viewer.
