SNAP Exam 2020: A detailed guide

Symbiosis national aptitude test is a post-graduate entrance exam conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University. This is a common entrance test for the 16 constituent institutes which offer MBA/PGDM courses. The exam paper comprises three sections which are general English, Quantitative data interpretation and data sufficiency, and analytical & logical reasoning with an online mode of exam. There will be 60 questions and the time limit will be of 60 minutes. This year Symbiosis is mainly focusing on the time-management, accuracy, and speed of the candidate. Eligibility criteria Graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) or equivalent from a recognized institute can apply. Final year students are also eligible for SNAP. International students have to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). SNAP is a speed-based exam which tests the accuracy and aptitude of a student. Ideally, a student should start preparing 3-4 months before the exam. While preparation, the candidates should solve previous year papers and give mock tests. This will help the candidate in building speed and accuracy. SNAP is conducted in 90+ cities in India, and the candidate can choose up to three cities as a preferred location. Selection process After the candidate gets through the exam, the institute begins the admission process. There are three more rounds after the aptitude test. These rounds include a group exercise, personal interaction, and written ability test. All the respective institutes fix a cut off for shortlisting candidates. The shortlisted candidates then receive a call for GE/PI and WAT. The final selection is made based on the academic record, performance in GE/PI, and SNAP score.
