When you are kid-free, finding the perfect Phoenix real estate to buy is actually very easy. You don’t have to worry about finding Phoenix homes that are near schools or finding places where you’ll get a good sized yard. You simply have to find a place that suits you and your needs. But once you have children, you find that there is a whole different spin on finding exactly what your Phoenix real estate needs are. There have been some people who have moved out of the beautiful city simply because they didn’t believe that there was enough for children to do in Phoenix. Actually, there is too much!

Going Free

Families who live in Phoenix homes are actually very lucky, as there are a large number of things you can do with your child directly in the city, and many of them don’t cost a dime. Take Kiwanis Park. A short drive from downtow
Phoenix, Kiwanis Park has 125 acres beautiful acres to explore. There is a huge recreation center, and there is always a great deal to do there, including going fishing. Many children who live in Phoenix never have the opportunity to go fishing, but you can take them to Kiwanis and can enjoy a day of hiking, picnicking, and fishing.

Got a pre-teen and looking for something really fun? Now you’ll find that there is a good deal of Phoenix real estate that has been taken up by skate parks. Skate parks are a great place to let pre-teens and teenagers run around and to learn new tricks. They can learn balance and self-esteem and, if they hang around enough, can watch more experienced skaters practice, which can help them to learn even more tricks.

There are a number of museums that offer free admission, for both children and adults, and that have exhibits for children that entertain them. Adults can also enjoy learning about things in museums as well. Or you can head to the library, where you can teach your child how to check out library books and where you can get some for yourself! Public libraries in Phoenix are all free and many offer special days where children can do more than read, such as doing artistic activities.

Ready for something a bit different? There are all sorts of free concerts and festivals going on in Phoenix, especially during the spring and fall months when it’s a bit cooler in the area. These concerts can be a wonderful place for adults to relax, but one thing you’ll need to remember is food, as not all concerts or festivals supply it. Pack a bag filled with juice pouches, snacks, and, of course, water, and you’ll be able to enjoy a great amount of time under the sun enjoying music and entertainment, and finding something both you and your children can enjoy can be a tricky thing. Anyone who lives in Phoenix can enjoy all sorts of free things in the city, for both yourself and your children.
