Most of the time people specially, accountants in your company may criticize your social networking efforts through asking the questions like is it helping you to monetize your business networking?
That question had a way of diverting you in your tracks. It might force you to think about what you were doing with your time and what you need to be doing. Indeed this can't help thinking that all the time spent or wasted on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and the like might be better served on other tasks that might actually lead to sales.
While doing social networking it will recall you of some stores you have been to. Instead, you have to begin talking up the sales leads, and considering who will qualify as prospects for additional cultivation. Most if not all the leads turned you down, either by not giving response to the emails and the phone calls or by saying the worst word 'wait'.
Just start avoid chatting with your peers and concentrating on real customers during your social networking efforts and you will see how your business is well on the way to the track. Still this is not the end, chatting, cold and warm callings and responding to emails is necessary to your business networking but this is not sufficient. In addition it is also very important to not get distracted by seemingly interesting, but not very productive things during your social networking tasks on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN.
Not for all businesses, social networking is fruitful. For example if you are a graphic designer specializing in designs for bicycles, then it is time to take a deep breath to break from your computer and go outdoor to meet shop owners. You might be encouraged to run off right at the time you walked through the front door, but that is an opportunity you have to utilize. Probably you can find yourself with a redesigning task.
