“Saving Starfish As Part of My Solo Private Beach Retreat”

I took myself on a solo private beach retreat this past week, and there was A LOT that I learned … just to name a few: 1) There is no one around to take your picture (good thing for the iPhone do it yourself feature as you can see in the above photo – that’s my magic beach cottage in the background!) 2) big bugs squish under big books (a story too scary to share really …) 3) The Universe is always looking out for you … this really struck me during one early morning walk on the beach. See, I went on this retreat so I could get really clear about some next super Considerably Huge™ steps for myself in my business. I wanted the distance and space from all of my normal distractions to ask myself some very important questions: If I do this who will this allow me to BE?; Is this necessary for my Soul Purpose fulfillment?; Will it add to my peace?; Can I really imagine this desire? FEEL the energy of it? (I recommend you ask yourself these questions about your next business steps as well …) As I was walking and feeling sort of alone in that moment with all of these thoughts I saw this starfish stranded on the beach. I’ve never seen a starfish up close like this before. Its little tentacles were waving so I picked it up and tossed it back into the ocean and saw it safely swept out to sea. And then I saw another and another and another … as I picked up my 5th starfish I had this thought: “there is always a helping hand that will come from above to pick you up and have you back on your course – always.” Now, that might sound a bit corny, but at the moment it was quite profound. I just **knew** that I was on the right path with my big decisions and that I AM taken care of.

You must take the time and space to gain clarity around all areas in your business.
