Let’s have a look at the emblems of some of the famous catholic schools and universities in America. Here are some important elements of each design.
1. Boston College:
This private Jesuit research university was founded in 1863. Their catholic school logo consists of a shield that is encased in a circle. The shield has an image of an open book and two crowns. The college motto is inscribed in the book in Latin which means "Ever to Excel". You can also see images of mountains in the shield that give a touch of Boston’s culture. The colors used in the emblem are red, orange and black that make it eye catching and attractive. The straight fonts in orange color make it easy to read and energetic.
2. College of the Holy Cross:
Holy Cross is the oldest Catholic college in New England and one of the oldest in the United States. It was founded in 1843 and is located in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. Their official seal and emblem consists of an image of a book that is inside a shield which is encased by a round badge. The borders consists of the college name in golden color over a purple background that make it eye catching and attractive. Latin words “In Hoc Signo Vinces”are inscribed in the emblem which mean “In this sign you shall conquer”.
3. Creighton University:
This university was founded in 1878 and is located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Their emblem is crafted simply. It consists of illustrations of two distinguished men. The entire design is crafted in blue and white which makes it ageless and sophisticated.
4. Fairfield University:
Fairfield University is located Fairfield, Connecticut, in the New England region of the United States. Their trademark is a true depiction of their history and culture. The image of the shield consists of gold pinecones have been inspired by the coat of arms of the family of Saint Robert Bellarmine, whom the university was originally named after. There are also images of a cluster of grapes and a hart crossing a ford. The college name is written in straight and thick fonts around the edge of the emblem.

It established in 1842 and is one of the most famous catholic universities in the world. The name of the university, "Notre Dame," is French meaning "Our Lady, which refers to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The emblem consists of an image of a shield with a cross and a star. The shield is encased in a circle that has the university name inscribed over the edges. Thick and straight fonts are used that makes it readable and sophisticated. The school motto is “Vita, Dulcedo, Spes” which means “Life, Sweetness, and Hope”. This Christian business school logo is crafted with blue and golden colors which makes in traditional and ageless.
In a nutshell, these emblems are traditional, ageless and reflect a true essence of their location and culture.
