These brand marks may be simple but they are certainly recognized, respected and awed all over the world. So, what makes them so unique and popular? Let’s have a look. rnUniversal Records:rnThe universal music logo has been consistent since its origin. Their logo consists of an image of the world with the business name in big and bold letters. They have made many slight alterations in the design throughout the time like changing it to black and white or adding stars in the background but the overall theme of the design has always remained the same. rnSony BMG Music Entertainment:rnThis trademark consists of the two company names in straight fonts in black color with a white background. The sign would have been very bland and plain if not for a small colorful touch. To unite the names of the two companies, a symbol of ‘&’ is used. The symbol is shaped like a musical note with blue and red colors which adds an attractive touch to the corporation name. rnInterscope Records:rnUnlike most of other record companies, their brand mark consists of a small letter ‘I’ with a curvy design for a dot with the business name surrounding the symbol vertically and horizontally. Even the fonts that are used are funky and fun. The only fact that makes this sign look professional is the use of black and white colors. rnEMI Group:rnTheir trademark consists of a sophisticated combination of red and white colors. The fonts are straight and bold in white color. Red colored background makes the emblem attractive and eye catching and adds a touch of urbane stylishness to the design. rnWarner Bros. Records:rnThis famous cartoon company has the same steady figure which consists of the two letters W and B enclosed in a crest like shape. The only difference here is the use of black and white colors for this symbol which add a touch of professionalism and proficiency to the design. rnIsland Def Jam:rnTheir unique emblem consists of two images that are clubbed together with horizontal underline. One part of the image is an illustration of a palm tree and the other consists of the company name in thick and creatively placed fonts. The entire design has been done in black and white which adds an air of expertise with a hint of funkiness. rnColumbia Records:rnThis somewhat strange music logo is often referred to as a walking eye. This figure contains oval within ovals to symbolize a record and the legs beneath represent the pegs for a record player. This corporation pays homage to its mother firm CBS through their trademark. In a nutshell, a good record company trademark needs to be a combination of proficiency and creativity.
