  1. Position the light source so it does not shine directly into your eyes. Sit comfortably in front of the magnifying mirror and look very carefully at your eyes.nn
  2. Notice the color(s) of your eyes. Your eyes are a range of color, not just one solid color. Notice if your eye color changes from one visual inspection to the next.nn
  3. Try to produce the following “looks” at will. This might require a bit of practice. Add any of your own to the list.   4. You might wish to cover the rest of your face below your eyes when you do this exercise, so you are communicating with your eyes only.nn
  5. To get the proper feeling for a particular look, imagine some scenario from your past. When you have recalled the feeling, observe most carefully how your eyes look. Close your eyes. Reopen them and try to reproduce that same look.nnComments:nn

    You keep your “eyes wide shut” when you don’t know what kind of feeling you are sending out with your eyes energetically, you refuse to look someone in the eyes, or you break eye contact out of fear, insecurity, low self-esteem, or indifference. By practicing various looks, you become cognizant of the messages you give with your eyes. You can gain freedom by using your eyes to communicate intimately with full awareness and conscious intention.
