Sourcing Your Own Abundance
Here’s a quick 30-second experiment in increasing your capacity for abundance: Just for a moment, allow yourself to silently acknowledge everyone and everything you feel genuinely blessed to have manifested in your life – your kids; your community; your health, your possessions; your home…. Notice that as you deliberately become aware of all there is to appreciate, you naturally breathe a little deeper and feel a little lighter. You might experience this as a sensation of relaxation, a softening in your heart, or an expansion of your perspective. Whether the shift you feel is dramatic or subtle, every time you attune your consciousness to the energy of appreciation, you are actually aligning your mood, your mindset, and your vibration from one based in lack to one based in abundance.
This simple exercise is based on the universal Law of Sufficiency and Abundance, which states that more we appreciate what we already have, the more we expand our ability to receive more – and it is our capacity to receive that determines how much or how little of what we want we magnetize into our lives. In the same way we must open our hands to receive a gift, we need to open and expand our energy to create the space to allow more abundance in. And this can only be done from the inside out.
I love this magazine and its message, because making sure that our connection with ourselves stays on the “front burner” of our awareness is paramount to expanding into greater abundance in whatever aspect of our lives we’re seeking it. We first have to know how to connect with ourselves, and to what we are experiencing in the privacy of our own minds and hearts, before can we begin to offer our feelings – and our vibration – deliberately. Nothing can happen until we start paying attention to ourselves, and this means listening to our emotions rather than trying to resist, suppress, ignore or deny them.
Our emotions serve a purpose that has nothing to do with how pleasant or unpleasant they are to experience; their true value lies in helping us to distinguish whether the vibration we are offering in any given situation is aligned with our contraction or our expansion. If we are “checked out” from our emotions or unwilling to receive them when they arise, we deprive ourselves of their wisdom, and of the ability to respond to each moment creatively and resourcefully. The more willing we are to allow our feelings and let them guide our choices, the more deliberate we can be about the vibration we are offering.
Everything is a reflection of your vibration, and you are the source of your own frequency. If in every situation you find yourself, you focus on the aspects you truly appreciate, you will magnetize abundance in every imaginable form. You’ll generate more ideas and new possibilities. You’ll draw people into your experience who have the exact resources needed to bring those ideas to fruition. It all starts with the signal you’re sending out. It all starts with YOU.
Gratitude is the most direct route to abundance.
