Spain is a country with rich historical background as number of civilizations have ruled this part of the world for many centuries including Phoenicians, Romans, Greeks and Moorish. All these civilizations have left number of traces in the various parts of the Spain and most of these remains are being preserved by the authorities in various museums in the different cities of the country. Some of the famous museums in Spain are: Museum Guggenheim- Bilbao: Guggenheim Museum should be your first exploration after reaching Bilbao as this museum contains some of the great collection of various artistic works. The design of the Guggenheim Museum was made by the famous architect from North America, Frank O Gehry and he designed it really very unique. At the one side of the museum the River Nervion flows which is at the depth of sixteen meters lower than the rest of Bilbao city while at the other side of the city, Puente De La Salve is located which is the main route of the Bilbao city. the design of the museum building is very interesting as it is the mixture of different shapes and the walls of the building are made of glass which helps to protect the inside artistic work from sun radiations and heat. Museo Del Prado- Madrid: Museo Del Prado is located in a building which was constructed in the 18th century by the famous designer Juan de Villanueva. This museum contains a great collection of painting and arts by various famous artists like Velazquez, Van der Weyden, Lorrain, Rembrant, Mengs and many other famous artists. Museu Picasso-Barcelona: Picasso is the world renowned artist and this museum which is located at Carrer Montcada Street in Barcelona contains a unique and important collection of this artist along with many other artists. The collection of Picasso includes the artistic work of great artist from his childhood and his blue period. House of Science- La Coruna: This is the first museum which is owned by public in Spain and it is located inside a small and beautiful palace with in the park called location espagne Santa Margarita. This museum is famous for its 3 halls which are used for organizing exhibitions on physics and other topics of scientific nature.
