Spirituality Information - Is The Messenger More Important Than The Message ?

History has proved that the growth of human consciousness has been traditionally very slow.I think one of the main reasons for this is because the message of all the great men and women was never projected as superior than the messengers of the message. Makes sense ! Ordinary people do a great job of applauding extraordinary human beings. They get so overawed by the personalities and lifestyle of these individuals that they are not able to comprehend the real message delivered by these great men and women. Let me give you an example....nnnKrishna preached Bhagavad Gita to Arjun. The Bible is the handiwork of Jesus. Quran was invented by Prophet Mohammed .. and the list of the great religious teachers and their teachings goes on.... I want to ask you one thing, how many people in the world follow the teachings of these great men? If it hurts you to answer, let me do you a favour. Rarely, will you find anyone who practice their message. But have a look at something more interesting. While very few people practice their message almost 70% of the world population are in awe of all these great religious teachers. They idolize these great men,respect them and sing praises about them but they do not give undue importance to their message. What a shame ! When will we learn that the message is more important than the messenger? Bhagavad Gita is more important than Krishna, Bible is more important than Jesus, Quran is more important than Prophet Mohammed. nnnDont get me wrong here. Being a Hindu, I love Lord Krishna more than anything else but if i was given a choice between a idol of Lord Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita which the Lord preached, i would take the holy text. Life is simple, make the best choices even when it comes to God. When I read Bhagavad Gita i drink the Knowledge of the highest form and it also instills in me the devotion and innocence of a pure child. I get to know the magnificience of this great man called Krishna and the role he wants me to play in this game of life. The message is more important than the messenger.......
