Dodgers with advantage over Giants in 3-game series
Giants might be the current World Series winners, but the Dodgers, their long-time rivals, continues to punish them as they have beat the San Francisco MLB team in 4 out of their last 5 meetings, with the last victory for Los Angeles coming yesterday in what it was the first of a 3-game series between the two franchises (the second game is tonight). The Dodgers won the game 2-1 thanks to the good work of Clayton Kershaw, who silenced the bats from the Giants, and now San Francisco is closer to been eliminated from wild card contention since they are 5 and a half games behind the Diamondbacks and 4 and a half games behind the Braves.
Bush or Thomas: Who is the best Dolphins running back?
It seems like Reggie Bush is not going to get the main running back role with his new team, the Dolphins, as the former Saints player has not perform as expected, and it is actually rookie Daniel Thomas who might be the new favorite RB concerning the plans of coach Tony Sparano. Though Bush is optimistic, and when it comes to Thomas, he mentioned that “I can be that type of runner. I know I can handle the work.”
Cowboys needs to win at home
The Cowboys have lost their previous 2 home openers, 2 years ago against the Giants, and last year against the Bears, and it seems like it will be difficult for them to break that trend as they rival at week 3 are the Redskins, one of their biggest rivals in the league, and with Tony Romo still sensitive concerning a recent injury, things doesn’t look good for Dallas, as Washington is looking for revenge after losing 4 of their last 5 meetings with the Cowboys.
Mike Modano says goodbye to NHL
After a glorious career that extended for an amazing 21 years, hockey pro Mike Modano decided to call it quits. The 41 year old Modano became an icon with the Dallas Stars, winning the Stanley Cup with them back in 1999. He finished his career with a total of 561 goals and 1374 points and his last team were the Detroit Red Wings, his home town team and for whom he played just a single season, but he preferred to quite the game instead of signing for another year since he got injured in one of his tendons and played poorly last year, scoring a low 4 goals and fifteen points.
