UFC 135: Jackson vs Jones
At UFC 135, we will see a great fight between two men who have different strengths, on the one hand we have Rampage Jackson, who is better when it comes to punches, and on the other we have Jon Jones, who is an excellent wrestler, so, it will be quite interesting to see which one of the two is going to submit the other to his own personal game. If Jackson falls in the trap of Jones and allows him to take him to the floor, the big loser here will be Quentin, though if Rampage manages to keep on throwing punches to Jones; it is quite possible that Jackson is going to win. This is certainly the type of fights MMA is famous for, and if you are a fan, you won’t want to miss the action.
UFC 139: Shogun vs Henderson
Fans of the Ultimate Fighting Championship will get another treat in November when Dan Henderson crosses fists against Mauricio Rua at UFC 139. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout which can allow the winner to be on the right position for title contention. This fight means the return to the UFC for Henderson, who obtained the light heavyweight title from Strikeforce after defeating Rafael Cavalcante (to then beat Fedor Emelianenko on July 30). When it comes to Shogun Rua, he is coming to this fight after taking down Forrest Griffin at UFC 134 in Brazil.
Italian Club offers 600G’s to Bryant per game
Any professional basketball team out there knows that Kobe Bryant will really help them to sell merchandise and to get a lot of people interested in showing up for games, and this is probably what Claudio Sabatini is thinking about, as he is offering the Lakers player an outstanding $600,000 per game to play with Virtus Bologna. Of course this will be the case if there is an NBA strike, as the Italian season starts on November 13. Bryant hasn’t spoken about a possible interest in the offer.
Giants defeat Rams
Sam Bradford achieved a career-high 331 yards, but that was just the positive aspect of the 28-16 Rams loss to the Giants on Monday Night Football. On the other hand, Eli Manning finished the game with 2 touchdowns, 200 yards and eighteen of 29 passes completed. Now the New York team is looking forward to their game against the Eagles on Week 3, and it is still not clear if Michael Vick will be playing on that game due to a concussion suffered on Philly’s game against the Falcons on Week 2.
