Whether you decide to form a network or not, there are certain legal ramifications for incorporating as an S Corporation, limited liability Company, partnership, or any of the designated business types. Familiarize yourself with these and decide which category you fall under. You can then use this information as a springboard by which to better gauge your competition and potential industrial allies. Although this can seem like a headache for the beginning entrepreneur, take it from those who done it before: having this information in the beginning helps you avoid inevitable complications without.

Advertising

Everyone must advertise. The good thing is that with the rise of social media and the popularity of the World Wide Web, the barriers to advertising for small businesses are lower than ever before. First and foremost, you need to build a website offering your products or services. After this you need to learn about search engine optimization, e-commerce, and of course the ins-and-outs of social media promotion.

With passion, commitment, focus and periodic bursts of energy, you can have your slice of the American dream and managing a successful business. If you ask just about any small-to-medium- sized business owner, should tell you that the end result was worth sleepless nights and hectic schedules.
