Stay Positive While Looking for Job

People often get discouraged when we fail to get a job in spite of trying hard. This mostly happens with one who is beginning stage of his career. You look for job in several unrelated channels and end up with disappointment. Plenty of jobs are available on different sources but should search it in right way.
Firstly prepare a proper plan. Select an industry you are interested in and make list of companies in that industries. Search for career opportunities available in these companies through their websites and various job portals. Match the available job opportunities with your interests and qualification. Short list the companies where your qualification and skills match with job description of the company. Now apply for the job in the shortlisted company. This will increase your chances of selection and will save your time of sending application and resume for irrelevant jobs.
Post your resumes on various job portals, placement agencies, and companies of your interest. Don’t depend on a single source of recruitment always keep an alternative source. Use networking system to get information about job opportunities. Stay in touch with people who are working in organizations of your interest. They may be friends, relatives or colleagues. You can also increase you network through some social networking sites like linked in. Such people are aware about their company’s recruitment process and other details. Many organizations prefer internal sources of recruitment like present employees, references of present employees, etc to save time and money. So networking will help you to get job opportunities through internal source.
Fix a deadline for searching right job so that you can focus on your target and achieve it in time. In case if you fail to get a job within deadline don’t get discouraged. Sooner or later you may get some job opportunities from any sources.
Some people leave their previous jobs in search of better job opportunities. Don’t leave the present job unless you find a better job offers. Plan in advance start searching for new jobs few months ago so that you have some better job in hand before leaving the present job. Forward your resume and application to the company you want to apply for. Give interviews and complete the selection process. Once you get job offer from new company ask them a time period for joining. Complete the legal resignation formalities with your previous company. Collect your experience certificate and then join the new company.
