We live in a glorious era in which video games are larger and more current, more than ever, allowing us to live the fantasy worlds developed and experience you never thought possible. But for all the games that allows us to have some kind of moral choice during the game, few hold, or even encourage a vegetarian lifestyle.

You sit and think about your favorite game a bit and see if they line up with their own beliefs? Sure, everyone wants to be the hero (and perhaps the occasional villain), but we have all the characters are really Ciphers of our own personality and beliefs? We will have Mario as a simple example. He is as harmless as they come in terms of attraction of the family, while he does spend a lot of times to eat mushrooms, leaves, flowers and other mostly organic food, which is known for the love of a good spaghetti and meatballs when not saving the princess. Link from The Legend of Zelda looks like a pretty dress to earth type of character, but when you think it has run around killing native animals in the area and the theft of their hearts to recover health. See every cartoon and innocent, but the bottom line, feeds the hearts of their enemies.

Things get worse the more you look back, as the standard healing item in the games tend to be meat. In Castellanies, Simon Belmont roast chickens regularly find all the interior walls and somehow healed devour (vegetarian or not eating meat of chance found in an old wall is not a wise decision).

How do we let things get so out of our control? Games we regularly send out the adventures that force us to kill animals to proceed. How many Final Fantasy titles has played in all forms of wildlife about, only to be eliminated with Forage? The task of matching trampling through dark forests, wild, then rewards you with little money to hackers that separate them.

Oddly enough, some of the best examples of "vegetarian" games tend to be those where there is either no history at all, like Tetris, or you do not even think of video games, as Farmville. Somehow we have reached a point in Farmville is presented as a positive example of an animal-friendly world, while Call of Duty regularly have to break the neck of dogs. Things get even more complicated if you are vegetarian, leaving you with almost Nintendo’s Pong or maybe. And Tetris. Luckily we always have Tetris (which block L is completely vegetarian, as if it was not obvious).

Surprisingly, probably the most positive character of the game a vegetarian lifestyle is Super Meat Boy, a platform game considered "Nintendo Hard" by the best players in to run like a piece of meat trying to get his girlfriend. Yes, you are playing as meat, but everything is out to destroy, leaving the flesh of the unfortunate victim this cruel world.

It's the best thing we can do? A technicality? Are not there games that are designers who want to give vegetarians a high quality game with a character that embodies our lifestyle? For now, we seem to be alone in this world of video games.
