The fragrance of Jasmine still reminds me of my mother, who is thousands of miles away from me. Her every cloth has the same fragrance because she herself is a very big fan of Jasmine. I can confidently say that I can spot my mother from the crowd of millions of people, only by the fragrance of the flower. However, it is not only Jasmine that reminds me of my mother, it is also her way of bringing me up due to which today I am being appreciated by anybody and everybody. All the credit goes to her because she has made her restless efforts to become a successful parent, and yes today she is one. Becoming a successful parent is tough, but not hard. Therefore, there are many ways with the help of which parents can try to bring up their kids in a wonderful manner. Kids start developing the sense of self as babies when they see themselves through their parents' eyes. Parent’s tone of voice, body language, and every expression are absorbed by the kids from their parents. The words and actions as a parent affect their developing self-esteem more than anything else. Praising should accomplish the kids for small things, will make them feel proud; letting kids do things independently will make them feel capable and strong. How many times you react negatively to your kids in a given day? How would you feel about a boss who treats with that much negative guidance, even if it was well intentioned? A better and more successful approach is to catch kids doing something right: "You made your bed without being asked — that's terrific!" or "I was watching you play with your sister and you were very patient." These statements will give more encouragement to kids. Discipline is very much necessary in every household. The goal of discipline is to help the kids choose acceptable behaviors and learn self-control. They may experiment the limits you have set up for them, but they also require those limits to rise into dependable adults. Sometimes it gets difficult for parents and kids to get together for a family meal, let alone spend quality time together. But probably nothing kids would like more. Wake up a little early in the morning so that you can eat breakfast with your kid or leave the remaining dishes in the sink and go for a walk after dinner. Young kids learn a lot from watching their parents. Studies have shown that children who hit usually have a role model for aggression in their home itself. You can't expect kids to do everything simply because you, as a parent, "say so." Kids want and deserve explanations as much as adults do. If we don't spare proper time to put in plain words, children will start wondering about our values and purposes and whether they have any base. Parents who reason with their children permit them to recognize and learn in a tolerant way. Therefore, it is quite an enjoyable phase of life when you have to enhance all your child’s skills, so as to make your kid a successful individual in the path of life.
